The Transportation Technology Center, Inc. is a leader in research for the rail industry. As a member of our team you will be consistently contributing to the advancement of safety and efficiency of railway systems world-wide. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Facilities Manager to lead our facilities team focused on maintaining and enhancing our site facilities and testing infrastructure.

• Principal engineer for the design and management of capital improvement projects to
• Project manager and field inspection for construction projects.
• Engineering support for the environmental and safety program
• Contracting officer’s technical representative for contracts associated with design and
construction of infrastructure improvements
• Code compliance for building construction and modifications.
• Significant budgetary responsibilities that can range up to $10 Million.

Job Requirements

• A Professional Engineer certification is required in either Mechanical or Civil Engineering
discipline with demonstrable design and analysis skills
• 5 years’ experience in a management position within oversight of personnel, budgetary
and planning responsibilities.
• Ten or more years of experience in design/analysis, construction, facilities engineering or
plant environment with engineering responsibilities.
• Knowledge of codes and industry standards associated with construction and
maintenance activities, including the International Building Code, National Fire Protection
Association Codes / Standards, and related sections of the Code of Federal Regulations.
• AutoCAD drafting to perform and/or supervise drawing development.
• Structural analysis and design experience, along with geotechnical analysis and testing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a working knowledge of MSWord and
Excel programs.
• Self-starter capable of working individually and with wide variety of site staff, external
contractors and customers.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret data, walk on uneven surfaces, sit, stand, bend,
lift 30-50 lbs. and work in adverse weather conditions.
