Engineering Service Company ( is seeking a Civil Engineer I/II with interest in commercial, retail, and industrial land development. Relevant experience and P.E. license, or ability to attain in short order, a bonus and factors in starting position and salary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare entitlement and engineering documents for municipality and referral approvals; including plans, reports, and support calculations where warranted.

Prepare project related exhibits to assist clients, municipalities, referral agencies, or the concerned public understand engineering concepts that factor into development decisions.

Address proffered comments of clients and jurisdictional agencies; plan changes, written responses, and/or representation in face to face environment.

Research site history and applicable jurisdictional code requirements that may affect site feasibility or layout.

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations supporting drainage infrastructure improvement proposals.

Prepare permit applications, cut sheets, and quantity estimates.

Private and public project representation and presentation.

Supervision of CAD designer and junior engineering staff (DOQ) that are a part of a project/team including task assignment and quality assurance review.

Establish and maintain efficient schedules to meet client deadlines.

Keep abreast with current industry advances, software, and trends to continually expand value to the client and progress within the professional establishment.

Job Requirements

Spacer Image
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Course work specialization in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, soil mechanics, or construction administration is preferred but not necessary.

Commercial or residential land development engineering experience preferred but not required.

** Proficiency with AutoCAD required; Civil 3D experience preferred.

Effective technical writing and oral communication skills.

The ability to give aesthetic consideration to technical documentation.
