Job description:
|
|
IBI Group is rapidly building its Rail and transit Infrastructure team for the delivery of various LRT, rail and transit projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
The CADD manager would be joining the organization at a key phase of its growth as there would be the opportunity to work closely with The Toronto Transit Commission, Metrolinx and other local authorities and stakeholders for development, establishment and maintenance of CAD standards for the group.
Beyond having an expert understanding of various CADD applications and supporting databases, the successful candidate would:
•Work with various engineers and designers in the establishment and maintenance of a standardized CAD file management system for larger, multidisciplinary projects; •Collect open source, and purchased baseline data required for preliminary and detailed design; •Manipulate and translate acquired baseline data to ensure compatibility in terms of datum, projection, naming convention, hatching and colour schemes etc; •Work closely with project managers, schedulers, modelers and CAD designers to optimize the project delivery process in terms of cost savings and quality; •Ensure the efficient management of licensing requirements and restrictions as well as upkeep of data management best-practices and software updates;
What to expect:
This role present s unique opportunity for the successful incumbent to take on an integral role in the delivery of some of the most ambitious projects in the commuter rail, LRT and Transit sector.
This person would be responsible for developing and maintaining all conventions associated with CAD data related to any and all projects being delivered by this group.
It will require superb communication skills, unsurpassed work ethic and a real desire to take on a role that presents a genuine opportunity for “ownership” of your own success – hard work and dedication being key ingredients.
Bottom line:
Few, if any FUNDED transit projects throughout North America rival the scale and complexity of these projects, this presents an unprecedented opportunity for engineers with specialization in the Rail and transit Sector.
