Gibbs & Olson, Inc., a well-established, award-winning firm with offices in Longview and Olympia, Washington, is currently seeking a highly experienced civil engineer to work on a variety of municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment facility and conveyance design projects. Responsibilities include project management, design and preparation of documents related to design of water/wastewater conveyance and treatment plant systems; effective communication with clients, contractors, state and local agencies, and project team members; and participation in business development efforts as appropriate.

Job Requirements
|
|
|
Education, training, experience:
|
|
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; ten (10) years progressive experience in municipal and/or industrial water/wastewater design; Washington State PE license (or the ability to acquire within one year); ability to work as a project team leader; and two (2) years business development experience including proposal preparation and interview participation. Preference will be given to candidates with strong verbal and task management skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency writing general sewer, facility, and water system plans along with other technical documents. Public speaking and consensus-building experience are highly desirable.
