Delcan is providing Independent Quality oversight for the American Fork Utah Department of Transportation Pioneer Crossing Project. We are seeking an individual to join our team. Daily responsibilities include:

Review of observations and test results entered into database by inspectors / testers from previous day to see if there were any issues identified

Review work activities planned for next day – if any new ones are planned, ensure that the inspectors have requirements and design plans

Review any new submittals from contractor and verify that they are in compliance with contract requirements

Attend contractor’s daily work planning meeting to be aware of upcoming activities

Interface with material testing lab to stay on top of material test results

As required, perform reviews of the contractor’s field operations related to traffic control, utility installation, survey or other activities that do not require specialized certifications

Analyze field data to undercover trends and systemic issues

Assist with the generation of summary reports

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:

Individuals must have a BS in Civil Engineering. PE is preferred. Experience working for a State Department of Transportation highly desired. 7-10 years experience providing quality oversight in highway and roadway construction required.
