Job Responsibilities:

WK Dickson seeks a technology minded professional that enjoys being given responsibility as part of a team based approach to successful project execution. We have engaging and exciting projects to which you can contribute.

Primary responsibilities include: performing various design tasks requiring the operation and application of AutoCAD, supporting project and technical managers with studies and design project deliverables, performing analyses and design calculations, organizing project information, and assisting with construction administration and inspection of designed projects.

Projects may include residential, commercial, industrial and airport developments. Responsibilities will include planning and design duties including project layouts, storm drainage design, water and sewer design, roadway design and sediment and erosion control design.
•Analyze and organize project data with accuracy, neatness, and timeliness.
•Utilize appropriate software applications.
•Work from sketches, notes and other input material to produce computer generated graphs, charts, overlays and completed drawings. Complete finished product with limited direction.
•Understand and follow company standard CAD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Suggest improvements to standard procedures.
•Search, investigate, and select technical reference data pertinent to a project.
•Prepare and assist with developing project computations, estimates, surveys, statistics, and designs.
•Prepare and calculate off-site data, such as; traffic volumes, and storm water runoffs.
•Maintain positive communication with staff, clients and subcontractors.
•Follow general instructions and company policies and procedures.
•Comply with all company safety policies and rules.
•Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Spacer Image
Possess a BS degree in civil, environmental engineering or related field
•Successful completion of the FE exam
•Two (2) to Five (5) year of experience
•Civil site design experience preferred
•Civil 3D experience required
