Westlake Consultants, Inc. is a well established consulting firm in the Portland metropolitan area. We were founded in 1983, and have provided collaborative, responsive surveying, civil engineering and land use planning since that time. We maintain a list of valuable, long-term clients. With an eye to new technologies and opportunities, we have expanded our capabilities to include 3D laser scanning in our survey group, and civil design services for renewable energy projects.


• Plan, administer and design small to medium size site civil projects.
• Coordinate with multiple jurisdictions to meet design criteria.
• Collaborate with client and client’s representatives to ensure client objectives are met.
• Mentor staff assigned to support civil projects.
• Mentor design staff to help them obtain personal and professional goals.
• Estimate and budget man hours for design projects; review job cost reports for postings and billing.

Job Requirements

Spacer Image
• BSCE required
• OR PE required; licenses in other states a plus
• 15 years engineering experience with a background in site civil design, including a combination of roadway, traffic, storm water, irrigation design and utility relocations.
• Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.
• Must possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling and other Autodesk software applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
