The Civil Engineer will work in areas of construction, including building design, construction, repairs, conversions and extensions in accordance with job specifications based on project deliverables. Projects may occur in construction, environmental, structural and transportation specialties.

Participate in the planning and design of various project elements and work on many areas of construction.
Prepare civil design and drawings; site layout, storm water, pipeline, grading, and construction plans using Civil 3D
Prepare revisions to design plans while managing deadlines
Plan and prioritize projects to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Prepare technical reports and regulatory compliance documents.
Provide engineering design and develop technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Develop alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design and drainage design
Must have knowledge of industry codes, standards and procedures
Grade design and earthwork calculations
Coordinate with multiple disciplines including architects, technicians, engineers, project managers, contractors and local authority.
Manage communications with and between management, sub consultants, team members, clients, regulatory agency representatives and members of the public.
Must be proficient in Project Design & Management including construction observation, project budgeting/billing, staff management and contractor/owner coordination
Must be Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019, Microstation, TXDOT and Local Codes. Federal Standards and USACE Manuals is plus.
Professional Engineer Registration is Needed.
Ability to execute & manage projects from implementation to completion of the project
Ability to prepare proposals for projects by incorporating all clients requirements, scope of work, schedule & budget.
This position manages designated employees of the department and/or project; may lead engineering teams and act as a mentor.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00
a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Limited travel primarily in local area during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
