Oak Creek’s Design Engineer works under the direction of the City Engineer, providing engineering services related to planning, design, construction and administration of the installation and maintenance of capital improvements, with an emphasis on traffic engineering.
The successful candidate will provide:
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; and five years of progressively responsible civil engineering design experience.
• Possess a license as a Professional Engineer with the Wisconsin Examining Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers and Surveyors; or be able to obtain this license within one (1) year of starting employment with the city.
• An ability to work cooperatively and effectively with department directors, staff, administration and elected officials.
• Services as Traffic Engineer and Secretary as a member of the Traffic and Safety Committee.
