Civil Engineer
Associate Level

Sasaki is seeking a site civil engineer with five to seven years of design experience to join our team in Boston, MA. The applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of world class projects ranging in scale from planning to built-work. The applicant shall be self-motivated and ready to jump into Sasaki’s interdisciplinary approach working closely with landscape architects, planners, urban designers, and architects. An ideal applicant would show curiosity and willingness to learn about all aspects of the built environment.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate civil engineering design process within a larger interdisciplinary project team

Collaborate and coordinate closely with a variety of Architect/Engineering/Construction consultants

Work independently with oversight of a professional engineer

Provide mentorship and guidance to to staff engineers

Perform Construction Administration

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

Professional Engineering License

5+ years design experience in site-civil engineering and/or water resources engineering

Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Proficient in stormwater modeling programs (hydrologic and hydraulic) and strong understanding of stormwater design principles

Experience in construction documentation including: layout, grading, drainage and utility design

Familiarity with permitting (Boston-focused preferred)

Experience with site civil cost estimating

Project management or assistant project management experience
