Project Manager - Transportation Engineer (Roadways, highways, interstates)- Decatur, IL
Job Description:
Our client, a civil engineering firm, has an immediate opening for a Professional Engineer with eight or more years of experience as a Project Manager leading a team in all aspects of civil engineering in our Transportation Division in Decatur, Illinois. This position will include planning, developing, designing, and managing various local roads, state highway and interstate projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will perform a variety of engineering tasks required to prepare plans and specifications for the construction of roadway projects in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. Responsibilities and tasks may include, but are not limited to: management and supervision of entire design process, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates, coordinate all disciplines in the project, coordinate with all subconsultants, coordination with the client, keeping projects on schedule, keeping projects within budget, perform or assure that quality control is accomplished for each project. Responsibilities will also include business development and building of client relationships for a variety of public sector clients from local agencies to state transportation departments.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of design experience and four years of project management experience with civil engineering roadway projects, have a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, an Illinois licensed Professional Engineer is highly desirable. Strong technical, oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to work in a team environment are required.
